For homes, you get lighting designed and installed on your rooflines, trees, bushes, and columns, using commercial-grade LED product that we supply. Every estimate comes with a design recommendation so you can see the layout before you commit, and most of that design work is handled virtually so you never have to schedule a visit just for a quote.
The install is only the start. Maintenance, removal, and storage are all part of it, which we cover in full further down. We start installations October 1, so your home is ready whenever you want it lit for the season.

How Our
Christmas Light Installation Works
From your first call to the day the lights come down and get put away, here is how the whole thing goes.
You reach out for an estimate. For homes we usually work virtually, using Google Earth, photos you send, and online images of the property to put together a suggested layout. For commercial properties we come out in person. Every estimate includes a design recommendation covering rooflines, small bushes, and columns as a starting point, and you can add trees, wrapping, or other decorative elements from there.
Once you approve the design and the price, we get you on the calendar, and you get a notification before we arrive.
A professional two- or three-person crew handles the install with commercial-grade materials. Every roofline is hand-measured, custom-cut, and professionally fitted, hung with clips only and with the wiring tucked out of sight. Bulb types are matched to each surface as described above.
Once the lights are up, they are covered for the whole season. Burned-out bulbs, timer failures, damaged strands, storm damage, any lighting issue at all, you contact us and we handle it, usually within 24 to 48 hours.
Removal is included and begins the first week of January. We contact you, assign a removal day, take everything down, label all the materials, and store the leased system for you. You never take possession of the lights, and you never deal with tangled boxes in the attic.
We clean up the site and leave your property the way we found it, so the only sign we were there is the lighting itself.

We price rooflines by linear footage and trees, bushes, and columns by strand count, and a typical Charlotte home lands in a predictable range. Every price is a full-season lease, which is spelled out in full just below the rates.
- Minimum installation: starting at $599. A $599 job is generally a simple roofline on a smaller home, around 1,200 square feet.
- Most homes: $800 to $1,500. Average residential spend lands in this range, with a typical job last season around $1,400. Price depends on linear footage, roof complexity, home size, number of stories, whether sections are walkable or need ladders, extension-wire needs, and any tree wrapping or extra decorative elements.
- Commercial: priced by footage and strand count. Commercial pricing works the same way as residential, driven by linear footage, strand count, and project size. Larger commercial projects often earn better pricing on volume, and every commercial job is quoted individually
Returning customers get 15% off the following season, the season after your first install, with an additional 5% when that installation is completed during October. We also occasionally price match against competitors and offer small case-by-case discounts, so ask about those when you get your estimate.

Do you install customer-supplied lights?
No, we install our own commercial-grade LED lights only, provided as part of the lease. We have had too many problems in the past with customer-supplied lights, from damaged strands to poor quality and installation complications. Because we own and maintain the system, we can back it all season, which we cannot do with lights we did not supply.
When do you start taking Christmas light bookings, and how far ahead should I schedule?
We start accepting bookings around September, and installations begin October 1. There is no official cutoff, and we keep booking until demand exceeds our capacity. We recommend booking at least 48 hours in advance, and larger projects may need several days up to about a week. During peak season, after Thanksgiving, wait times can reach about a week.
How long does the installation take?
A typical residential installation takes one to two hours. Most installs are handled by a two-person crew, sometimes a three-person crew depending on scheduling. Larger commercial projects may take multiple days.
What colors and styles can I choose from?
Warm white is the most popular choice, picked by about 75% of customers, but you are not limited to it. Options include cool white, multicolor, candy cane patterns, alternating colors, and any custom color combination you want. We build each light strand by hand to match the design you choose.
Do you install window outlines or lawn displays?
No, we focus on rooflines, trees, bushes, and columns. We do not normally install window outlines or lawn displays. If you want something outside our scope, just ask and we will tell you honestly whether it is something we do.
Do I need to be home for the installation?
No, you do not need to be home for a standard residential install, as long as we have access to the areas being lit and the design is approved ahead of time. Because most residential designs are handled virtually, everything is usually confirmed before we arrive. We will notify you before we come and again once the job is complete.
